Day 40 - “In their own words, JRR Tolkien”
This BBC film from 1968 is well worth watching if you’ve not seen it before, or indeed watching again if you have! Whilst there are aspects of the film that could be generouly described as offering insight more into the time of the film than Tolkien himself, there are many little gems, especially the comments of the professor himself.
The film is split into 2 so do click or the next part when this video finishes to enjoy it all. Perhaps you’ll end up wondering if that poor lady is still stuck on that bridge, explaining the plot of lord of the rings too.
