Spoiler Alert! Some low level spoilers from The Hobbit edition of Empire magazine

I’ve finally got around to reading all of the 63 pages of Hobbit features in Empire magazine, and in amongst all the wonderful images and interviews are some spoiler tidbits!

Hit read more to read them if you want! They’re fairly low level spoilers, but if you want to stay completely spoiler-free then stay away….

Delivery date for the finished version of “The Hobbit : An unexpected journey” is only 8 days before the premiere!

There will be a prologue, in which Smaug may make a fleeting appearance.

The Mirkwood spiders will “speak more as a psychic communication….only Bilbo hears them”

Gandalf will be rescued by Radagast at some point.

Gloin carries a picture of his family.

The dwarves sing the man in the moon song in Rivendell and the words were set to music by James Nesbitt (Bofur)

The white council at Dol Guldur has been moved to film #2.

Elrond may appear at the battle of five armies.

Radagast will appear with Bilbo and the dwarves.

The trolls are extremely snotty and will sneeze on Bilbo!

Goblin town Goblins will look very different to Moria Goblins, described as “maggoty” and “repulsively inhuman”.

Dain Ironfoot may appear in the first movie, along with Azog. There will also be younger Thorin, Dwalin and Balin. The battle of Azanulbizar seems set to be included.

There is a scene in the second film “where the wizards are together, battling not each other but some other evil.”

Tauriel is with Gandalf at Dol Guldur, but its unclear in which movie this will be.

There will be an in-air battle between the eagles and vampire bats at the battle of the five armies.
